North Florida Mega Industrial Park is an outstanding location for companies that require connections to the rest of the nation and the world. With excellent highway access, mainline Class I rail, quick connections to deep-water ports, and five nearby airports (including one immediately adjacent), companies can efficiently and affordably transport raw materials, components, and finished products anywhere in the world.
Rail
A CSX mainline runs parallel to U.S. Highway 90, north of the park, and there is an easement for a rail spur to serve the park. While there is no rail on site at this time, permitting is underway. A nearby Norfolk Southern line presents the potential for dual-carrier service.
Highways
The North Florida Mega Industrial Park boasts 3 miles of frontage on U.S. Highway 90, putting both Interstates 10 and 75 within a 15-minute drive.
Ocean
Local Interstate highways and the CSX line directly connect to the JAXPORT deep-water port at Jacksonville, a 1,500-acre, full-service, international trade seaport with service from 40 ocean carriers. In addition, JAXPORT owns and maintains the Blount Island Marine Terminal, Dames Point Marine Terminal, Talleyrand Marine Terminal along the St. Johns River, as well as the JAXPORT Cruise Terminal. Farther to the south, Port Tampa Bay is well-known for its easy access to the Gulf of Mexico and for its shipbuilding industry and its handling of bulk and break-bulk ocean cargoes. Air
Five airports serve the North Florida Mega Industrial Park, with Lake City Gateway Airport (KLCQ) immediately adjacent to the park. Lake City Gateway’s 8,003-foot runway accommodates nearly any aircraft. It has undergone several recent improvements, including an extended taxiway, a new tower and administration building, and facility improvements for HAECO, an aircraft service company located onsite. Delta, DHL, and FedEx freight service is available through nearby Tallahassee Regional Airport. Plus, the Jacksonville International Airport is just minutes away.
