Life

A laid-back lifestyle with everything the Sunshine State has to offer

North Florida, the home of North Florida Mega Industrial Park, is known for its healthy (and growing) business climate, but local residents know that there is more to life than hard work. You will find a delightfully laid-back attitude in and around Columbia County. That is no surprise when you consider that the friendly climate allows residents to garden, golf, hike, fish, swim, and go to the beach year-round.

Outdoor enthusiasts particularly enjoy the area’s many choices. We have earned recognition as “The Freshwater Recreation Capital of America” for our inviting rivers and lakes. Nearby state parks and several sports complexes help residents stay active and healthy. The Osceola National Forest’s nearly two hundred thousand acres of the original Florida is located north of the North Florida Mega Industrial Park. Together with the Okeefenokee National Forest that abuts the Osceola National Forest, the public has access to 1 million public acres of land. When you want a little more excitement, the Atlantic Ocean, the Gulf of Mexico, Destin, and Orlando’s many theme parks are all within a comfortable drive.

Recreation is not the only reason you will love our area. Low taxes and affordable housing mean your dollars go much further, and outstanding healthcare resources ensure that you will get the greatest enjoyment of life. North Florida provides a remarkable quality of life mix that is hard to find anywhere else!
