An appetite for food production — with resources to match
North Florida Mega Industrial Park provides access to agricultural inputs and a distribution network that allows same-day service to consumer markets totaling more than 60 million people. Combined with extensive utility resources and a huge labor force of more than 800,000 within an hour, the park offers an ideal location for companies that feed the world’s population (and its animals).
The park boasts 3 miles of frontage on U.S. Highway 90, putting both Interstates 10 and 75 within a 15-minute drive, and providing fast routing to anywhere. A CSX mainline runs just north of the park, with an easement for a rail spur into the park, simplifying deliveries of sweeteners and packaging. A nearby Norfolk Southern line presents the potential for dual-carrier service. Both rail and highway provide fast, efficient service to the nearby JAXPORT ocean facilities, as well as to multiple existing cold storage and other food distribution facilities in the immediate area, such as Target Distribution, US Cold Storage, Wal-Mart, Winn Dixie, SuperValu/Save-A-Lot, and others.
Our region is a strong producer of a broad range of agricultural inputs — and a strong consumer for companies selling to producers. You will find plenty of sources for citrus and other fruits, nuts, grains, vegetables, livestock, poultry, and dairy. With 2,622 acres, the park can provide sites of up to 410 acres, with vast electrical resources (including 115 kV transmission-level service and options for redundant power). Beverage and food producers will appreciate access to one of the nation’s most productive sources of fresh water, with excess capacity of more than 5.2 million gallons/day.
